BOG Agreement
Last updated October 2, 2026. This agreement is between you, a BOG, and RenewEQ, LLC, and adds to the Terms of Service.
The short version. You run your own business and choose which jobs to take. Show up when you say you will, send honest proof taken at the property, keep jobs and payments in the app, and only do work you are allowed to do.
1. You are independent
You are an independent contractor, not an employee, partner or agent of RenewEQ or of any investor. You decide which jobs to accept or bid on, your price, and how you do the work, within what the investor asked for. You provide your own phone, vehicle and tools, and you are responsible for your own taxes. Once in app payments start, our payment processor may ask for tax information and send you a tax form (such as a 1099) as the law requires.
2. Getting approved
You apply in the BOG app with your full name, company, email and the area you cover. RenewEQ decides who is approved and may stop offering you jobs at any time. Keep your information current.
Profile photo and driver's license. Before you can be approved or take any job, including a job from an investor who added you to their own list, you must take a profile photo and a photo of the front of your valid driver's license with the in app camera. A person at RenewEQ checks that the license is real, current, in your name and matches your photo. Your profile photo is shown to investors with your name. Your license photo is seen only by RenewEQ and is deleted as soon as it has been checked. Using someone else's photo or license, or a fake one, is fraud and ends your account.
3. Taking a job
- Only accept or bid on jobs you can actually do, on the date and time you give. When an investor sets a specific date and time, it is not negotiable.
- If something comes up, reschedule or cancel in the app as early as you can, with a reason. Repeated late cancellations or no shows can pause your account.
- Your usual prices, saved in Account, fill in the bid form to save you time. You always send each bid yourself; the app never bids for you.
4. Doing the work
- Check in when you arrive and check out when you finish. You must allow location while using the app: it is needed to become a BOG and to check in. The app reads it at sign up, at check in, at check out and when you take proof photos, only to confirm you are at the property, and never in the background. If location is off, you cannot check in until you turn it back on.
- Take every photo and video with the in app camera at the time of the job. Never send pictures that are old, edited, computer made, from another property, or of a screen.
- Answer the checklist honestly. If you could not do an item, skip it and say why.
- Only enter a property when the investor has arranged access. Leave it as secure as you found it, or more secure. If it feels unsafe, leave and tell the investor in the app.
- Respect occupants, tenants and neighbors. Do not film inside an occupied home without the occupant's permission.
5. Licenses, insurance and safety
You are responsible for having any license, registration, permit or insurance the law requires for the work you take, for example trade work, locksmithing where licensed, notary work, or serving papers. Do not take jobs you are not allowed to do. We recommend general liability insurance. You are responsible for your own safety and for any damage or injury you cause.
6. Keep it in the app
Talk with investors through the app's messages and calls. Your phone number and email are hidden from investors, and theirs from you. Investors pay B.O.G. Squad, and B.O.G. Squad pays you. Do not share or ask for phone numbers, emails, links or payment handles in messages to move a job outside the app, including later with an investor you met through the app. Messages are checked automatically and contact details are removed, and attempts to go around the app can pause or close your account.
7. Getting paid
- How it works. The investor pays RenewEQ for the job when it is booked, by Zelle or by card. When you deliver the job, RenewEQ pays you your price, less any service fee, to the Zelle, Cash App, Venmo or Apple Cash you choose in the app, usually the same day. You see what you will receive before you bid or accept.
- Fees. During the beta there is no service fee, and you keep your whole price. After the beta, RenewEQ keeps a service fee of 8.75% of your price, with a minimum of $8.75, unless RenewEQ sets a lower fee for you or the job. We will tell you in the app before it starts. You pay no card processing fees.
- Tips from investors are 100% yours and are paid with the job, once the investor has paid them.
- If the investor cancels late, or you arrive at the confirmed time and cannot get in and show that with photos in the app, you receive a $35 fee, less the service fee.
- Keep your Zelle, Cash App, Venmo or Apple Cash up to date in the app. We are not responsible for a payment sent to the details you gave us.
7a. Taxes
- You are an independent contractor. RenewEQ does not withhold income tax, Social Security or Medicare from your pay. You are responsible for reporting all income you earn through B.O.G. Squad and for paying your own taxes.
- If the law requires RenewEQ to report what it pays you (for example on Form 1099-NEC), you agree to give RenewEQ, or the tax service it uses, the information needed to do that when asked.
- The app shows what you earned each year, with a statement you can print or save. It is for your records and is not a tax form.
8. Reviews, holds and recovering payments
- Your first 3 finished jobs are reviewed by RenewEQ. Jobs can also be flagged by our proof checks.
- A 1 or 2 star rating pauses your account from new jobs and, once payments start, holds all your payouts until RenewEQ reviews the work. A problem report holds that job's payout the same way. RenewEQ decides from the actual photos, videos, answers and messages, under the Refund Policy: pay in full, ask you to finish missing items within 24 hours, a partial refund to the investor, or a full refund with no pay to you.
- If, after you are paid, we find the work was fraudulent or not at the right property, you agree we may recover that amount from your future payouts, or ask you to repay it.
9. Your photos and profile
The photos, videos, answers and documents from a job belong to the investor once delivered. Approved BOGs are listed for investors with profile photo, name, company, area, usual fee, number of completed jobs, star ratings and reviews. Your phone number, email and driver's license are not shown to investors.
10. Ending this agreement
You can stop at any time by deleting your account. RenewEQ can stop offering you jobs, pause or close your account as described in the Terms of Service. Anything owed for finished work that passed review will still be paid.
